Good centralization and really clever use of a minimum of colors. I also like the fact that you are able to compose the color of the girlĀ“s skin, and still stay in the line with the gray colors around. Efficient transition from light to dark shadow (upper left _> lower right). Lace is painted in a special way ; looks like very thick, that you could feel 3D on the painting, but visually fine and sharp. Skirt is painted with a clever use of gray-white-scale colors, that looks in this profile like a flower. Very strong, detailed and sober work.

This is so beautiful. I love that you gave the dress a painterly texture. And thank you for included which colors you mixed. I once did a painting mixing my own black. It's tricky but well worth it! I also really love how her skirt blends yet stick out from the background

I love to mix my own flesh tones too. I usually stick with the classic. I love the cads too but I also like to mix it up it with warmth to create depth in the skin tone, so I usually mixed three or four different kinds for one figures I've never tried turquoise though! Definatly will give that a try. I never even buy black anymore just always mix my own. Prussian + Alizarin + Raw Umber. But I mix it up a lot depending on what kind of black I want. You making me wanna paint a figure now!! Thank you!

This is a very beautiful painting... soft and subtle, with a very pleasing color palette. I love how her legs contrast with the dark floor and her tutu blends with the poufy gray sky. Very lovely!

James this is an excellent work of art. The subtle colors and the pose make for a lovely work. I thought it was a water color at first. Shows you how much I know about. But as they say "I know what I like" and I like this. Well done James.

Wow! Love how it goes from light at the top right to gray to dark at the bottom - and all the detail in between, especially on the back of her tutu. Great work!

Really good. Love the colors/fading, etc. Good composition. Looks very graceful. Personally I would have liked to have seen more body of her but it's still wonderful. Great job!
