I've never seen or heard of these but they're are creepy. Very neat approach and angle here. Good colors and great detail and focus on a few of these little buggers. Thanks for sharing before destruction.

Thanks so much Clyde, I know I was very itchy for a couple of hours after taking these even though I didn't touch them :)

Were you still as ecstatic in capturing them?
Nice color saturation & backdrop contrast.
Creative concept. Innovative approach. Imaginative presentation. Nice macro, up close & personal.
Subtle illumination. Diffused focusing.
Thanks for sharing...

I certainly was Dick, thanks a lot for your support. I checked them out this morning after washing the plant with detergent/water and they are nearly all gone.

What an amazing photograph. the colors, the angle, the clarity are wonderful. The aphids are a nuisance, but what a lovely photo it is before their 'demise'. Great!

Interesting capture. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of the critters is great. The image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

I would be attempting the very same thing... nasty little fellows in soooo many ways. While I think you did a very good job the upload either suffered or your shutter speed was not quite fast enough for the stop action. There are two aphids that have relatively good focus but not solid. I believe it may have been their frenzied movement in their endeavor to destroy your Hoya that robbed you of solid focus. The colors are rich and natural. If your camera has Shutter Speed priority use it next time and try several shutter speeds... and I'm guessing at their movement but it should probably have been in the 1/1000 or so range. Hummingbird wings are between 1/2000 -1/4000 depending. Does that make sense? Anyway great capture of these awful fellows that no one wants. Sad really... :-)) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for your constructive criticism, I will give that a try although I am hoping the detergent has destroyed them before they destroy my hoya. :) Mary
