Thanks Fred, yes it is American Alligator in Adelaide Zoo - no crocs are kept there but plenty of them up north where we plan to visit croc farm during road trip in July. :) Mary

yes, alligators always look like smiling, the problem is that they do not smile, but get ready to eat

Thanks GaliaG, similar to our crocodiles up north which have claimed quite a few limbs and lives. Wouldn't get too close thats for sure :) Mary

Not at all sure about such things but I think this might be a crocodile. He does seem to have that contented smile on his face though. Fine cropping and very good colors.

Thanks Mike, yes it is an alligator, Adelaide Zoo don't have any crocodiles but hope to see some on our road trip in July. :) Mary

Cool looking alligator,I like this close up shot that shows his teeth sticking out. You can see every little bump on it's back. I wanted to paint one of these one time but it didn't work out. I wished I had a close up of it's eye.
