Impressive capture! A rare find! Great story telling factor.
Enhance the saturation a bit and you'll get an impressive rusting equipment.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF. Bright lighting. Pin sharp focusing. Thanks for sharing...

COOL,Mary! : D
This is just the sort of thing that really appeals to me!
And it's a well-focused,pleasantly colorful, and all around 'Fun to View' photograph as well!

It does not look abandoned to me. I have seen this kind of equipment in use to plow furrows in the spring. A nice view with fine detail and great colors.

Thanks Mike, appreciate your positive feedback. I made assumption it was abandoned as the farmhouse was a ruin and had even more damage following a bushfire earlier this year.

I love your photo in its simplicity at first glance then the realization of a hard worker. Old farm equipment was used in such harsh environments & had to be strong & sturdy. I like the blades of grass growing up through the spindles. Good focus and details.

The victims of either the greed of bankers or the march of progress.

The food nowadays doesn't taste as good either. Farm fresh tasted better when farmers used to get their hands on it.

Thanks so much for your comments - there had been a bushfire through the property earlier this year which damaged a lot of the equipment and the further damage to the ruin nearby. :) Mary

Brushfires are also a very nasty business. Many insurance companies won't cover losses if it was caused by an Act of God or Force Majeur.
