What a collection of birds. I had no idea that there were so many varieties of pigeons. Your presentation gives us a nice look at a variety of different breeds. Good job of the display.

I like the collage, Of the fancy pigeons. I use to have over a 100 pigeons at one time. Then the hawks and raccoons Found out how easy they were to pick off. The tumblers would give the hawks a run for their lives. We had to make the doors smaller so they could not follow them into their cages. The gentleman I bought the flock from, use to show them. They were cool, but a lot to clean after. Very nice shots. Thanks for post.

You are welcome. Yes, hawks tend to do that, I used to fly racing homers. Yes they require constant care, but their guano makes the vegetables & flowers grow very well.

My neighbor raised pigeons a long time ago. These are pretty birds, they almost look like a dove. I like the one in the lower left hand corner, it looks scared. The pigeon up top left looks surprised. Thanks for sharing.

you are welcome your review of my entry is appreciated. yes, the one on the left does look a little surprised. On the smaller one below, just to the right, she was more curious and came right up to the camera at the last second, which took me by surprise. they are an amazing bird.

Funny story, Me daughter and her cousin broke into my neighbors pigeon coop and took one of his pigeons, I thought she caught a dove, needless to say my neighbor came knocking on my door looking for his pigeon. My daughter wanted it for a pet. lol

They make great pets and I know several people that have them and keep them like parakeets. They have cognizant recognition and can recognize their owners and are very affectionate.

I am a former math teacher and I don't know if that has anything to do with why I don't particularly care for the way you have placed the photos on your page or not. I don't like all the space on the top right hand side. I didn't mark you down because it might be me. I wish that the fluffy guy was a bit larger. He seems so interesting. I like the background color you have chosen. Very interesting.
