a truly gorgeous piece of art work that depicts the elegance and beauty of dance. The shading is excellent and i particularly like the way the lighting has blended into the dark tones that subsequently gives this drawing a great depth to it.a stunning piece ,

To be honest, it took me a while to convince myself that this really was a drawing !! Finally I decided it was and became sorry that 5*s was the best I could do. Your shading is outstanding, particularly that vail. Movement, storytelling and composition within the frame are all exceptional. Good luck in the contest with this very worthy entry, I guess everyone else is battling for second place ! - Ronnie

Quite the unique entry into the contest, thinking outside of the box. At first glance I thought this to be a flower, and I suppose it is, a human flower showing beauty of human form.

For the feeling of soaring you have captured this well into a dynamic, however it lacks in a "place to go" and what this does to the viewer is causes us to hold our breath...the image to my eyes is tight and restrictive. The foot is embedded into the margin and is partially amputated, this gives a stiffness to the art.

The chiaroscuro effect is glorious, the source of light easily seen.

Yes, Amputation is something to worry about in a picture. I must have cropped it wrong. Thank you for your honesty in your reviewing.

Nice paint of the ballerina body and position, but the background is full of nice and the dancer is too bright

Galia, my dancer is lit up too bright. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I must be careful not to highlight to much.

A Leaping Lady...A sexy siren in Flight...a heavenly dish of mashed potatoes with gravy...um mm a connoisseur of Delight. I would enjoy being entertained..a seeker of pleasure if you will...in awe and wonder my breath is still. poetry of motion..a leisure of art...blood...muscle...bone and sinew...an interlude to a prelude of dreams and chance...things that I never outgrew...chocolate. flowers. Romance. All this and so much more. who says that your soul cannot take flight while your feet remain upon the floor?

As beautiful as the wind and as graceful as a flame. This is a wonderfully realistic and stunning depiction of a ballerina. Amazingly detailed and beautiful to look at.
