Great close up photo of this caterpillar, a wonderful example of nature's fine handiwork. The body, with equally spaced black beads and brown hairs trim looks like a decorative addition to fancy folk costume. Excellent focus and great picture clarity. Well done.

What a strange creature with a strange design!:) This is a lovely shot. You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Great capture Chuck! You have nice focus and furry details. Focus is a tad soft on the right, but overall you did a fine job.
Nice crop and crisp details ;)

Thanks. Yeah I noticed that little soft focus too, but couldn't do anything about it.

Chuck, you have endeared a simple caterpillar to me with this amazing photograph. The clarity, and focus are amazing. Just a simple insect, but made beautiful with your expertise.

Ah, this is the caterpillar of the Morning Cloak? At any rate, a nice capture of this fuzzy fellow. Colors are sharp and clear as is the focus. Nicely done Chuck ~ Steve

These are always nice to look at , this one looks beautiful with the brilliant spots shining like jewels on his body - your picture is clear and sharp , well framed, the question here is what is front and back as that would make the negative space perfect or at the back imperfect loll - great angle and bird view showing a good perspective
contrast and lighting are good- a neat capture, thanks for sharing

I think his head is to the left, but I could be wrong. Maybe he's two headed ;-) Thanks for the nice review Regina.

ten the negative space is at the wrong side as it has to go with the direction of movement . if you can you can crop it with the space at the left cutting the right sidie so it would be perfect - I felt it also that way - it is like taking a flying bird always the free space ahead to give room for movement - you are most welcome
-
Looked at the original. There is not much space on the left side to do a re-crop. ;-(
-
So you just can take the right side off at the same level and it will be fine too having a general crop like a normal size picture avoiding discounts :) the object is centered and the picture turns out to be technically correct xoxo

This is what we in Norway call Thousand Legs. Easy to understand why. It is really a nice pattern along the side of this one, and nice golden colors as well. This makes it stand out really well against the concrete.
Your photo is also nice and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in every part of this creepy crawly, and also the exposure is very good.
The format you have cropped the photo into works really well, and the creature is well placed off to the left. Nice with the slight diagonal position as well. A truly lovely and well taken photo Chuck, and with a very good DOF.

Nice capture of the caterpillar, but the huge and empty space before him takes from the initial impact since it pulls my eyes to it
good focus and light handling
thanks for sharing
