One wonders what the story is. I would have stopped too but my husband would not. They (non photographers) just don't get it! Fascinating image, eye catching and requiring some time to take in. Great focus, dof and exposure. Really, really good work.

Thanks so much, yes fortunately I was the driver and hubby nowhere in sight as "girls weekend" - he usually passes something and 10 minutes later after my request to stop says "oh sorry did you want to take some photos" when we do stop proceeds to suggest what POV to take them from hence don't invite him along too often :)

The ruins are shown in fine detail, but it is the surroundings as seen through the door and around the edge of the standing wall that intrigue me. It seems that the land had been cleared for the construction and has never grown back. Beautiful light and great colors in this interesting shot.
