Nicely created lily in the pond. Nice colors shaded and gradated well. Good delineation of the individual petals. The pads make a good background for the lily and the two vertical stems add verticality and interest. Well done.

What we do without water lilies to paint or photograph? Some non artistic people might think they are an easy object to create. But artist in the know know better. To get the lighting right is difficult. The sun in the wrong spot or you in the wrong spot leaves a bad shadow. This is a good piece. Nicely painted.
