This is a really fine capture of the bird. I admire the sharp details and the natural colors. The pigeon has unusual markings which makes the photo even more interesting. The tight square framing seems ideal.

Yes that emotional component that we as photographers seek to have in each and every shot is in this one ...and not only does it say something about this pigeon but the photo says something about the photographer. You are fun to be with and make people laugh.
Technically this is well done in focus, good marginal space but a bit more on our left would not have hurt, exposure good as is contrast and the hues are natural.
I love how you came down to the birds eye level. That pulls us in instantly.
This is a very enjoyable photo indeed.
You are doing well in Breakfast Fare contest...YAY!

Pigeons kind of get a bad rap they are really beautiful birds. This really a nice shot. I almost expect it to fly off. I like that the surroundings are the kind that you expect too see this in. Very nice.
