Gate to the Masters Heart. Cyber 6+. Perhaps a beggar outside the gate. Lots of stories can be applied to your beautiful picture.

WOW virtual 6- awesome find - looks like a door to a secret gate or garden - the way the greens have grow up really enhances this old door
your focus is excellent , clear and sharp in details, think the way you modified the image brings all textures of the wood out so well mailing it even attractive to the viewer
your frame is well chosen, the composition is harmonious and well balanced between the two parts such as in color range ans well as for the materials
great capture, all the best for the contest

Grand eye for the snapping of those angles - stellar entry for the contest. The color is ultra vibrant and the lighting nicely natural. The focus solid and sharp over your focal point. Great post. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck!

What a great looking gate this is with the very fine textures in the wood, and I think these textures are even better brought out because of the tone mapping you did. I also like a lot how the plant is framing the gate in such a natural and lovely way.
The photo is nice and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the gate and the climbing plant. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
The tight framing has worked really well, and I think it is a very good balance in the composition. It is nice the way the gate and plant is filling the frame. A truly great looking and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

You have made an ordinary, extraordinary!! The work on the door is stunning. I like the texture and the purple tones to the wood. The vines and flowers hanging over it makes it all the more better.

This is a study on how an element in an otherwise normal photo makes the photo a stand out.The gate ha so much caricature in the look. Than the bush make this an excellent entry for the contest.

Oh I like this old wooden gate...so much more than the ugly metal ones. Such a simple photo yet so interesting.
The colors and patterns in the wood are marvelous...and it's straight...lol...ALWAYS a plus. Good POV including the shrubbery draped over the gate.
The shrubbery, however, may be my one gripe. Since it's such a large part of the photo I feel it should be sharper...crisper. The white flowers themselves appear blown out....and there are also some really fuzzy sections in the shrubs. Not sure if it's something to do w/ post work or in taking the photo itself. If it's post perhaps you can go in and sharpen things up a bit and clear out the fuzzy bits.
Good luck in the contest.

I love photomatix, and you did a great job not over processing it. The wood is gorgeous and I love the green vines framing it. Seems too zoomed in, would love to see a wider shot of this. Have my vote anyways for the contest. Good luck!
