a wonderful macro capture Deborah with excellent off center and diagonal framing of the flower; amazing sharp focus; te shaddow of the stamens on the petals is a bonus;

    lol...yes....the shadow was a bonus sg. Comes from me holding the flashlight between my knees while keeping two hands free to make camera adjustments. Thanks so much for checking it out. I do appreciate it.

A very attractive picture,Deb!
As befits a photo of a truly attractive and very hearty type of flower!
( Yeah,I'm rather fond of Day Lilies'! My own patch of them-descended from ones that my Mom planted behind the building I call 'Shed # 2' many decades ago ) are just about to bloom !

    My 'Daylilies' (except for the little, very early Lemon Lilies) have a long way to go before they bud up for the season Sean. But they will...one of the most reliable flowers I grow. Thank you so much for checking them out and commenting. I really do appreciate it.

what a great shot..the detail, the sharp focusing, the beautiful colours and the structure all come together to produce and highlight this flower as it so deserves to be highlighted. The colours are gorgeous and the red stamens are so vivid they spring out in 3 dimensional effect...its a great shot

Awesome, thanks for the info. Magnificent heart of this lily. Colors are bright, clear and awesome. Yellow and brown, light green lines and even humidity shown on this photo and going down to deeper green, plus little brown spots, this is a magnificent shot. Centered, detailed and shadowed properly. Fantastic photo and great eye viewers.
Thanks for showing.
Congratulations and GOOD LUCK!
Have yourself a magnificent evening.

An exceptionally sharp image in which you can see every grain of pollen. The colors are outstanding and depth of field is great.

Wow! Another fantastic flashlight foto? This is an incredible scientific look into the center of a lily...and makes it such an interesting study along with your thorough notes. I always read every word. Thank you over and over for those.

Is that the pollen that you have captured...that looks like Fairy dust? :D The shadows of the stamen really makes this for me. It gives the whole image depth instead of seeming flat from this inside view. I do think the 'freckles' are my favorite part...along with the center green color. It is so fresh and gentle in the midst of this dynamic yellow beauty. Great job controlling that yellow saturation..being veined with the orange really helps. Of course my usual mantra on flowers or colors is did you try to back off the saturation to sustain your clarity...But you have no edits here. And I love it!! A framer!! I hope all is well and that this is an old photo from last year but that you have these beauties this year..just watching over you while you heal....giving you their attention for a change. ~B

    My favorite part is the shadow of the stamens as well. Yes, the 'fairy dust' is pollen. This is one of my largest Daylilies...lots of pollen. It IS last years crop of HEMEROCALLIS....the only thing open here so far are the little 'Lemon Lillies'...very early compared to the rest. I don't even have buds yet on all the others. Thank you for your comments on my notes....lol...gratifying to hear you read the entire thing. I really appreciate that. Another framer!! Oh my Becky...lol. Thank you so much for your thorough review and wonderful comments. Monday I see surgeon and hoping he says things are perfect. Fingers crossed.

    lol...personally I wasn't too impressed w/ taste but that was raw. I hear they're better lightly sautéed....in butter! Thanks so much for checking out my post. I appreciate it.
