This is indeed, a real-eye catcher. I love the clarity of lines at the top of those poppy capsules. The presentation is superb, very artistic. Your exposure is also excellent, showing vibrant, but natural colors. I am not sure about the criteria of the contest, though. I thought, it refers to the buds of the flowers, and these are not buds. On the otherhand, I still think that this image still deserves a SIX!

12 stars - breath taking composition - the way you created the background with the same colors as the objects brings such a harmonious flair into the image - the "heads in pink stripes just are so striking, unusual as plant and so clear and sharp that it feels they are just able to be touched
fantastic composition, well framed, perfect in contrast and lighting, beautifully enhanced through artistic editing

This is a great image. It is clear with the subdued background drawing the eye to the main seed pods. Good photographic techniques are in evidence. A pleasure to view - good luck in the competition.
