Just had to look to see what the 'history' was...and nothing...hmmmnnn....a shame. I'm wondering where this is.

Beautifully composed and perfectly lined up...lol...I DO like that. Sepia color works so well w/ your photo...and it does look like the buildings on the right may be occupied. Like seeing the difference between 'abandoned' and 'non-abandoned' buildings. Focus is excellent...every brick and roof tile so clearly shown. Very nice. Wonderful sky in the background too.

Marvelous entrant for this contest. Best of luck to you.

Deborah

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Deborah. To be quite honest I have forgotten the name of this very small village in Greece, and the title just meant that this must be a place with a story being so old.

in Greece...well, that's something I didn't know. Didn't really mean to be so literal about your title....and it IS a great photo. Most welcome for the review.

LOL - No problem, and you are right, I should have added a story.

This is a perfect photo for the contest. You have the buildings but you also have an alley or small street between them. This is a photo right out of World War Two.

two things spring to mind in this,it looks as if its leaning to the right, also it suppose to be in b/w,so not not sepia is the right choice for contest, other than that quite like it,where was it taken, looks like Greece, would love to know...brian

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Brian. Also sepia was allowed in this contest, and as you know nothing is straight in Greece. LOL

Fantastic photo in black/white so clear and bright. These houses for sure have histories and each one of them different. By the looks of their roofs these houses went through war or massacre. Wonderful construction and magnificent photo. Centered, detailed and shadowed properly. Fantastic photo and great eye viewer.
Thanks for showing. Congratulations and GOOD LUCK!
Have yourself a magnificent evening.

This is very interesting, looks like there has been a few stories to be told about this old place, love your sky, the buildings around this one,,the street that it seems to be on,,the cracked blocks tells the age as well

Great find and perfect for this contest.
I like your POV with the puffy white clouds. Great choice to use sepia. You have fine focus, crisp details, fab exposure and nice textures.
Good Luck :)
