Really enjoyed the notes w/ this one.

Wonderfully composed. Now I'm curious though. Did you actually add real raspberries and then re-photograph it or did you Photo Shop the raspberries in??

Love the mottled green background.....and the little Ladybug, btw. Trying to figure if you used a piece of greenish paper w/ grass on it and then added the fruit??

However you did it... it made a lovely piece. Best of luck in the contest.

I added real raspberries, and the green comes from the texture I used. I put it on the top and then use the rubber to reveal the berries underneath. The green grasses/straws are made with a brush in Photoshop. Hope this made sense, and thanks a lot for the review.

a beautiful presentation with excellent adjustment using good techniques to enhance the subjects,I actually thought this was an oil painting when i first glanced and thought..wow..however, it is till a really good pic and love the structure and focusing fit all..well done

However, I find the ladybug artificially positioned. Even without it, this composition would look nice already.
I guess a smaller raspberry would have adhered more to your odd-numbered grouping, what do you think?!?

So many distracting, criss crossing lines that grab some attention from the beautiful berries.

The simpler here, the better.

Subtle illumination.
Pin sharp focusing.
Ideal vertical framing.

This image has great initial impact. I had just bought blueberries and raspberries and voila - there they are! Love your childhood memory of putting the berries on the straw. Never heard of that one before. I like how you arranged the berries among the graceful and thin straws - and the lovely pale green background works nicely to show off the berries. The tiny ladybug (I remember well from my childhood) adds a nice touch, too. The details of the berries are really clear. You get A plus for creativity and a yayy for a very lovely and nostalgic kind of picture. Good luck in the contest.
