How do you capture something that is ever changing? I use a camera. Much easier. This is really lovely and it does capture something of the power of the surf. i like that you did a "close up" of the wave. You got the foam right too. Very nice work.

Thank you so much for your great review. As I live by the sea I get plenty of chances to watch the waves and never tire of trying to capture them with paint.

This is a nice painting. The colors of blue are soothing. I love the long strokes of the wave, and the white foamy water. Did you do that with a sponge or a fan brush? You really captured the wave well. Good luck!

The energy felt in this painting is very good. I also like the brush marks which help to give it the sense of movement. There might be too much white at the right side. I would recommend a longer canvas so that you could show more of the wave.
