I love dancers and compositions of them. This ballerina looks elegant and graceful. I love the spotlight on her creating that graceful shadow. Great attention to detail and you nailed the dancer's posture. I also like the subtle colors. Good positioning her to the left of the canvas. Great framing and visual impact. a beautiful piece of art work in acrylics...love the structure and the composition. The softness of the tones across the dress and her flesh gives the dancer the sensitivity she so deserves and then the gorgeous chiaroscuro tones of the background hues blended brilliantly enhance the dancers pose..a great piece , well done

My friend, how about just obliterating the shadow & that illuminated curtain?
I find it so cute but it grabs attention from the ballerina...

You are so right with your title , Soloists are lonely on stage = your impression is excellent and your expressive painting reflects the solo of a ballerina so well

I think you have created an attractive painting with the perfect balance of spotlight and shades = your dancer is well placed in space and the most intriguing part is the shadow as normally stages do not have shadows = it is a very special work, excellent in detail work on the ballerina = excellent body proportions, perfection in pose = everything is done in fine details making this painting strong, elegant and beautiful, thanks for sharing
