No idea about Pokemon's or what ever. However, I think this is a super drawing. You have got me at it too, I do my basic acrylics on canvas now and use sharpies to tidy them up with the little strokes, which is so much easier. I think this is a clever picture of someone taking a picture of someone in front of them and by the time they click the camera, a little blue wee beastie has settled on her bossom. Happens to me too, really good.

Love this one! This made me laugh out loud! As usual , your details are so impressive to study, this woman in the blue bikini doesn't look too pleased that she is being photographed, the cell phone image shows a dragon on her chest! I love the bright yellow and red striped background and the blue sky with puffy white cloud over the blue water and the sand on the beach. Very well created with great choices of color, it's fun to view!

Boy,Oh Boy! That is cool. No doubt the cellphone cameras are getting increasingly popular! Seriously, this is a lovely work bro! So much of detail one can find in this. Glorious colours and perfect figure painting. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!

Ha ha ha. I love this. Her expression says it all. This is so typical of what happens today. There was just a story on the news today whereby a man went to jail for video voyeurism.

Well, boys be boys and man be man. Both like to use the phone for this kind of photo. I just wonder how the little dragon mentioned to get into the picture. Markers-Magic perhaps. He must stuck inside the camera or is he her spirit animal? He, he.

Hi Mark - First off, Congratulations on the win. Secondly - I love your sense of humor; always have since day one of looking at your work. You interject fun into FAR!

I must admit - I needed your notes to grasp the little character in the phone. LOL - I know of poke-man, but have not become personally acquainted with him. :-)) Thank you for the artist notes that helped me acknowledge (remember) the hype; I laughed out laud once I recognized the story behind the scene.

Several things I like about this illustration. The annoyed look on her face is priceless and helps with the story. Obviously - the overall composition is brilliant. I further always admire your skill - regardless if it's detail, scale, depth, color, interest or composition.... your one fun and talented guy. Kathy

Haha! Well deserved win. My 13 year old granddaughter stayed with me last summer and we had to chase all over searching for the pokemon! Love the attitude of this character as she poses with her arms akimbo for the mobile phone user. Great use of colour and detail. Very funny and imaginative use of sharpie/BIC. Suzanne

Woah...I think she could scare someone into not drowning...just so they didn't have to be saved by her!

I do not know pokemon... I know..seriously. Seriously! But I give you credit for staying up with the times my 'older' friend. :D

I think her blonde eye brows are what gives me the biggest kick.. You had to plan those...and that spot of white reflection on her copper tone coated forehead. These little plans in your head ..do they happen as you work..do your leave yourself a period of study before you move on to the next section? Love the ocean..unbelievable that you can blend with a sharpie...while keeping the waves showing. Sand...expert! A total pleasure to study your work..every time..not matter what the subject.

lol..me plan..lolol..no seriously I get ideas from talking to folks. I work with a lotta folks from 20's to 30's. we joke and kid durng our break at work. so this wicked mind always think of what scenario and then put it to paper. I cant remember who ask but I asked how do I come with titles before during or after or doing I think of a title and work with it. lord have mercy I just think of scene and draw it..near the end before completing a drawing ill be working it around my head. heck I even changed the title at the last minute before I post it. I'm a non art student. back in the early 70's when I was in school before joining the army I wanted to have art class and in my senior year I saw they offered a course..ooo I was so excited! only to be let down when I started the course I found out it was really only art history..no drawing. boy I was pissed. I was accepted by the Memphis Academy of commercial art but it cost as much as any other college. that's why I went into the army back then. life happen..you know marry have kids and realize it was better to go into management to really support the kids than art. oh well..i have been working with sharpie and bic pens since 1969.before that was the papermate flair products but they didn't have fine point. in the early years I did use some flairs the my sharpies only cause back then sharpie only offered 4 color(red, blue, green, and black) sharpie didn't come out the multitude of colors like they have today till the late 90's. when I was in a store back then and saw them for the 1st time I let out a yell(scared the hell out of the wife at the time) I look like a nut holding, hugging and kissing the 24 pack! no longer did I had to scrounge for other colors to shade and blend with. course in the art world sharpie and bic was considered an office medium and not art. those who didn't give me the scowl of the medium would preach to me that copic and prisma pens were consider to be more acceptable.(hell really to dam pricy in my opinion). so as I did before in year I work and experimented to know what works and what doesn't. you have to remember when you see me do these lil details..like spotlights..or leaves or bricks..just a small example..i done them hundred times before to were I move quick(been there done that thingy) really it was till about a few years ago I just started doing cartoons here on FAR just to get noticed. see I have done gallery work drawings but I reckon its just interest folks since it was done in pen. to give you a quick example of my gallery work you can go to either fanmusic side(look up my name mkflood then go to profile page) or you can go to YouTube.com and search "MKFlood presents". now there is 15 music videos there but I would like to direct you to the titles "Don"t Stop Believing" or "Rockin With Sharpie and Bic" or "Rockin Beauties with Sharpie and Bic" . now those have a the gallery style work I'm talking about. the videos are only 3 to 4 minutes long each. its better than trying to sift thru my portfolio consider I have about 800 drawings in there. plus you wont fall asleep I assure ya. so if ya get bored stop and check it out then you understand why I couldn't get all folks really interested unless I do cartoons. most folks believe that sharpie and bic is for the beginner artist..hell I have been doing it for almost half a century and I sound like Rodney Dangerfield.""gee I cant get no respect!" lolol. let me know whatcha think if ya do..wink. thanks for the awesome review.
