A fine shot that shows the territorial nature of these birds. Around here they are prized for chasing away Canada geese who they view a competitors for nest sites. Canada geese are much reviled. A fine shot with great colors and excellent composition.

Perfect timing of capturing this intruder.
Well timed still action shot...
The chase can be traced by the ripples of water created by their efforts.
Great story telling factor. Subdued lighting!
Diffused focusing.
Thanks for sharing...

A brilliant stop action picture of the two male Black swans doing battle the older one chasing off the younger one who it suspects wants to dethrone him from being the dominate male in the flock, their splashing & wake frozen by your fast exposure. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Comment from Life is but a dream.
A photo that makes one smile and full of "noise" we can hear the sqwaking and honking.
You were right there with good camera calibrations, your shutter speed caught the action and the panoramic format shows the vastness of this area.
It is too bad that they are going away from us rather than towards us....possibly your lens frightened them!

Thanks Olga, I got some side on when they first started the chase but liked the open wings of this one - will post one of the others later still on the road so short on time :)
