The fact that this bloom is that small and you have given us this wonderfully sharp, well lit and artfully displayed, it is a winner in my book. The offset bloom and the spot lit area fading into the background is fabulous. Great capture.

What a great photo of this Zinnia. The lighting is so attractive (brighter on one side and darker on the other). The after photo effects really enhance the scene. Background brings the flower to the forefront. Very nicely done. best of fortune in the contest ~ Steve

a wonderful presentation where the yellows just explode from this photograph through the brilliant and most important chiaroscuro techniques. The depth is stunning and the structure just off centre works well with this image as the light tones become more of the focal point than the flower itself...its pure and delicious.. a six for sure
