Truly impressive and very creative.
I love the row of white houses and the soft background of shadows.
The ambient lighting is superb.
After all these years you still raise the bar on creative ideas and artistic use of filters.

nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the candles is great. the setup is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

A very nice scene and entry for the contest. The little houses have that waxy/creamy look and texture which is nicely set off by the sharp flames. Background scene makes for a nice finish of the composition. Best of fortune in the contest ~ Steve

Is the overlay the scene behind the candles?? Perfectly put together photo....just made for this particular contest. Focus is very good. I'm curious...are these solid blocks of wax?? I'd have a hard time burning them if they are.

I can answer yes to both your questions. The candle houses are solid blocks of wax, and the overlay is the scene behind the candles. Also thanks a lot for the lovely review.

But the stars of the show are the AMAZING shining off the page gleaming white front faces of those house-shaped candles. Simply stunning and amazing stillness and uniformity of the flames.
