nice focus and angle of shot, but the fact that the flower is a bit cut off on the edge and part of it is too bright takes from the initial impact

Focus, colors and cropping are terrific. The bright colors jump off the screen. Between the tight crop and filled scene of color and the furry critter, this is a fun and creative shot. The background gives this scene a great DOF.
