A mild chiaroscuro effect with Diffused focusing.
Perhaps its because of this low light condition and the movement made by the bird.
A well timed stop action shot!
Verdant overtone is visually soothing.

A rare find. I haven't seen any bird as exotic as this yet. I love your angle that captured the facial expression, and the moment of eating time for this cute birdie. You can still increase the focus, by cropping some of the negative space atop.

An outstanding portrait. The light is excellent and the pose is outstanding. I like the way he is isolated against the distant background and the great detail. I would like to know what it is he is eating.

Thanks Mike he is eating some red meat the chef at restaurant puts it out early evening and they fly in line up on nearby tree and take turns in coming down for a treat. There were 7 lined up at one stage. Finish treat and back to the bushland.

Oh this is nice Mary but soft, not sharp on that little bird.
The large upload is soft but this little thumbnail is fine so I'm not docking marks which normally I would do.

That background makes this look like a painting! Lovely tones too.

Thanks Fred he is actually eating a piece of meat which was put out for the possums.
