cute title. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the bird goodnecking (evil grin) down to the ground is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

Curious if there is photoshop use on this photograph. Its unbelievable. Is this a deformity? Does this species of birds really have the ability to stretch their necks this far.. the view is left to wonder. Nice shot and very clear.

Look at the neck on this bird! It's half its size. It's got a beautiful red beak. Nice multi colored water background. Great job. Thanks for sharing

You captured a view that I never seen before. yes, it does look like a snake. Is he just resting. Or, is he ready to ambush dinner?

Wow Fred! I've NEVER seen a swan of any kind extend their neck this way. Do you know what he/she was doing?
Wonderful clear depiction of an exaggerated reach ;)
thanks for posting and making me think I may have to go and find something like this now :)

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the antipodean Black Swan head down ready to hiss at you asking you to keep your distance. The soft light filtering down on its glossy black plumage & making it gleam & with your superb camera techniques & sharp focus we could given time count its feathers .

It looks to me like these black swans have much longer necks than their white counterparts. This is a truly extraordinary neck. Very fine detail in the plumage and fine colors.

A snake bird, indeed. I wonder what makes him do that? It's an interesting shot. Amazing what a good photographer can capture.
