Probably the best seal I've seen, not only on FAR but in all I've ever seen with seals.
Your clarity is flawless and the overall shot is just spectacular.

He couldn't have posed any better had you asked him too. Focus on him is wonderful. Does seem like you had a bit of a problem w/ exposure however. All that white water behind the white body. White body is in good shape....it's the white water behind him that is glaring. Fortunately, the white body still shows well.
Love the photo. You can fix the blow-outs in post. It's a marvelous entrant for this contest. If you fix the white water let me know and I'll add the 1/2 point back.

Thanks. It was a overcast rather foggy morning. I got better shutter speed than expected. It was white but no sun. Really no glare.

I won't argue w/ you. I told you it's an excellent photo of the seal.....the white water behind him is the problem.

What a beautiful shot. Outstanding frame work and detailing with in this photograph. the lighting is really good and the harbor seal has so much beauty with in him the coloring and the detailing is awesome great job.
