Don't you just love it when your subject vamps for you and shows off his fine plumage?

This is nicely captured Mary at that special peak moment....I love seeing the detail of the red hues on tail feathers. They must be quite a sight to behold....imagine in flocks of 2,000....they would blacken the sky. Now so few left....sad.

Love the info. description. The bird looks huge with its wide wing span. Beautiful action capture. The dark bird next to the clear blue beautiful sky gives good contrast. Love the tail colors. I got so caught up at looking at the bird in flight that I forgot about the other one.
This bird shows how it looks without the wing span which is much smaller. It gives a good comparison.
