Your brush strokes create such lovely texture in the fur. The eye color is very nice and the highlights in the eyes are great. The background color compliments the subject well.

This is such a beautiful painting. And a wonderful entry for the contest. Your 'white balance' as photographers call it...is perfect throughout. Your choice of blues to accent that white is a very knowing and artistic one. While post processing in photography the control of the blue tones in a photo will accent and/or purify the whites. You have done that naturally with your brush and your paints. Very impressive.
Your brush stokes have resulted in the textures that make me want to pet this soft feline. And the detail of the blue eyes is just right. Proportioning of the eyes, nose, ears in the overall face is perfect...as that is where our eyes land first. The darks that you have brought in as shadows work as well. This work shows a very intelligent artist and talented hand with a brush. Good luck in the contest!

I think that this is a delightful study of Daisy, the colours work well, but noticed that , though attention was paid to shadow work on the left under paw, there is far less of shadow to the right side of Daisy,thus it seems to create an illusion of floating in the air. I feel that it would have been a better idea to get a bit more space to the left hand side of the picture, to get the composition right.
