I have been in Greece for nearly a month on holiday, so it has not been much time for reviewing, but I am now ready for action.
Do you know, this hopper really looks sweet, and you have pictured him so well. Your photo is also giving the viewer a very delicate impression with the lovely green background, and the hopper is of course standing out from it in the most excellent way.
Your focus is also spot on and pin sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the insect. The exposure is perfect, and I also appreciate the limited color pallet.
The way you have cropped the photo works well and the hopper has got a perfect placement within the frame. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A brilliant picture of this large Grasshopper crawling over a green leaf your reflection just visible in its eye. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus so we can easily seen the finest details of its head, eyes, antennae, wings & limbs.

A very good entry for the contest. The focus is sharp and clear on the grasshopper. The after photo work in sharpening the subject works very well in this scene. Best of fortune in the contest. I think it will do well ~ Steve
