Oh boy I liked this when I saw the little thumbnail of it and so glad I opened it up b/c it is gorgeous. I hear wolves all the time where I live but they are very reclusive. How wonderful you were able to see them playing...even if it took your long lens to do it.

Focus on them is very good. Actually, everything is very well detailed...even around the pair but the wolves, of course, are the stars here. Colors are very natural...I do like that. As I'm not familiar w/ the Oil painting filter I'm not sure how much of the color can be credited to that. Regardless, it's a wonderful shot...well presented and well cropped and best of all, they look very, very healthy.

An interesting entrant for the Pairs contest. I hope they do well for you.

great capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the woles playing around is great. so did they play chase with you afterwards? wink..lol. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

A great action scene and a very appropriate entry for the contest. I like the after photo work you did, especially the light oil effect and the work on the background, giving a much clearer and cleaner depth of field. Nice angle of the shot getting the foreground green foliage which gives a sense of depth and drama to the two main subjects. Actually very well done considering the long shot you had to take. Great shot but I certainly wouldn't want to be up too close. They look playful, but I'm sure they could be dangerous too.
This is quite an opportunity I would say to find something like this to capture on camera. Great stuff.
