A very beautiful capture of this unique and beautiful flower. It is nicely lit with the background tapering into darkness putting the emphasis on the flower. The composition is well done. I always struggle to find a nice composition for flowers.

Very beautifully done. Great focus and coloring on the purple flower. Love the framing and how the other flowers are blurred in the background to let just those two front flowers shine for the whole grouping. Great natural lighting. Well done overall

How nice of you Envision to be checking out something in my portfolio. Thank you so much. I've told people how my flowers seem to know when I'm out and about among them and they just seem to all perk up and want to be photographed. They make great subjects.

LOL...That may be the most enthusiastic review I have ever received Katharina. You put a HUGE smile on my face this morning. I worked on taking this photo very hard. I had to wait until that one blossom opened up completely but wanted to be sure to catch it BEFORE the little balls in the background opened. I think I timed it perfectly and then photographed it perfectly too if I don't say so myself. Flattered and honored to have it chosen as PoM!! Thank you so very much for going back and checking it out AND for that marvelous review you gave it.

Absolutely beautiful. I always love dark background so this was a winner straight away. Of course the focus, exposure and colour on this are perfect. I love the apparently backlit edges on the main flower which make it really stand out against the blurred flowers as they recede into the background.

Oh I am really flattered you took the time to check this out Brian. You must be doing just a bit better and I am very happy to hear that. This photo was taken late in the afternoon so the light is all natural. It starts getting dark VERY early here this time of the year. I am so pleased w/ this photo....worked hard to get all the different stages into one photo so glad you like it. Thank you again for your time and for writing such a wonderful review for my piece.
