Gorgeous! I really appreciate the detail you gave. The color is stunning and the spray of the center of the flower is a nice focal point. The balls of purple fading out throughout the background are a nice way to display your photo. So pretty!

A stunning macro picture of the sunlit mauve Thalictrum rochebruneanum florets with it's multiple stamens laden with pollen & round buds in the background all standing out in three dimensions from the dark background. Beautiful composition, framing 7 lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The difficulties of photographing this plant gave birth to a beautiful photo. I admire the clarity and crisp detail of the blossom in focus. Your DOF is also perfect. The soft background emphasises the blossom in focal. The light is efficiently used. The dark areas emphasize the beautiful colors.
The name Lavender Mist seems indeed perfect, but the plant looks familiar, so allow me one question
Is this the hybrid called Talictrum rochebruneanum?

BRAVO!!! It is indeed THALICTRUM rochebruneanum. (you forgot the 'H')....people rarely know the correct Botanical name and, in this case, it IS quite a mouthful. I call it THALICTRUM but when I posted the photo I thought the aka name was a perfect title. It is also called 'Meadow Rue' My favorite late-summer bloomer. I really appreciate your time checking it out and commenting on it. If you garden it is a tall, tough beauty to place somewhere where you can get close enough to see the exquisite little flowers that make the 'mist' Thank you so much for the extra sparkle you shared w/ it. I do appreciate THAT as well.

This deserves at least a 10 but since we can't give 10's I will give you one of my remaining sixes. This is absolutely stunning!! Love the vibrant lavender color and how you blurred the background to bring out the single full bloom in the front and the bud below it. The black background makes everything pop. gorgeous. Colors brought out gloriously. Sharp focus on flower #1, pulling back at #2 and continuing to soften in the background. Composition is strong, with flower #2 creating a nice, slightly off balance impression, more interesting than if just flower #1 to look at. Thanks for sharing!
