One of your BEST flower shots!
The focus is sharp, DOF soft and dreamy, exposure perfect and white balance is controlled on all colors.
I know how tiny these flowers are so I am VERY impressed with your camera techs!

I am very proud of this photo Sange. I really wanted to show the different stages of this flower so I photographed it just about every day for a week....everything went exactly right on this particular day. I really enjoyed your enthusiastic review so thank you soooo much for that....for the extra sparkle you gave it and for 'helping it along'.....lol...I appreciate all three.

I agree....on metallic paper....would look most excellent on my wall....and I could still see it when it's buried under four feet of snow!

What a beautiful find. This is truly a magnificent shot of this flower. Does it really look this great in real life? I have never seen such a wonderful array. I especially like the middle spray. You really got this one up close and personal. Kudos.

Oh without a doubt mama-m. I always show my flowers just as they look.....au natural. Now, you have to be close to see these...from a distance it looks like a lavender mist.....hence, the common name. I particularly liked the middle blossom too but was happy to be able to show them in different stages of flowering.....all in the same photo. I do appreciate your time checking this one out. Thanks so much.

Took some photos yesterday swimmer of this plant now that it's lost most of it's flowers. Not as cheerful but definitely cool looking. I ALWAYS appreciate your time checking out my posts and the extra star?? Well, I kinda enjoy that too...lol....Thanks so very much swimmer.

I also like the buds and the faded flowers in the background because it fits so well the title you have given this photo. The two flowers up front are indeed standing out in an excellent way.
Your focus on them is also nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen both in the petals and the stamens. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
The cropping is perfect and the flowers have got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a beautiful and well taken flower photo, and with an excellent DOF. Worth 6 stars, but of course I have run out.

One of my favorite flowers av.....and this recent photo is now on my list of Top 10's too. I was really pleased w/ how well it showed both the flower and the sort of 'mist' they make in a group. I do appreciate your time checking it out and especially appreciate the marvelous review you've written for my photo. Thank you so very much. Do you grow THALICTRUM??? I'm thinking of adding another one next season.

You are more than welcome Deb. No, I don't grow these, and as a matter of fact this is the first time I have even seen them. They are truly beautiful so I have to check out if it is possible to get hold of them here in Norway.

I purchased mine as 'starters' but if you can't find them there let me know b/c I know I could get you seeds. They come in white too but it is a short variety and the ones I grow are so beautiful b/c the flowers only grow near the tops of the 7' stems ....it's like a poof of purple just floating in air.

As much as I like this flower from a distance Sharon, it most definitely has to be seen up close to appreciate these gorgeous little flowers. One of my favorites for sure.
