I would love to know where you have such a sight. This is totally hysterical! It looks like a downtown district on a main street in funnytown, USA. I have never seen a store named Ballyhoo or a cow in the window before.
Ha. This is great!

This is such a delightful capture to view and imagine what is going on around here on the sidewalks. It appears to be a vacation area...ice cream shop!

Your colors are magnificent. The red is very saturated...photographers choice there....as it is pleasant and realistic in this light of day.

Your details are also clear and very enjoyable to study. The cow in the window is a good title! And the rest of the story is told by the benches waiting for customers. love it!

I LOVE the red exterior....AND the name of the shop....and THEN they put a cow in the window....lol...they are doing all they can to attract business aren't they Mary Eileen!

Your focus is excellent....there's a lot to see but it's all crisply detailed. I think POV is good. The red of the exterior may be a tad over saturated but being a red lover I'm not going to complain too much about that.

I'm afraid what really bothers me is the reflection in the window. What a shame....and as your 'cow in the window' is your subject I am having a hard time getting past it. But simple solution Mary E. You go have an ice cream....at a different time of day and shoot it again!! You get an ice cream and a photo w/o the reflection.

Thank you Peg. That reflection is a bit of a distraction. I may probably shoot this again under different lighting or maybe even on a cloudy day. This is a tough shoot because it is a busy street and you have to contend with traffic too. I took one of the interior that I posted last year and it is really much better than this one.

ah...traffic too...lol...didn't even think of that. I'll check out your interior shot....lol...make it up to you for the deduction.

I like this picture very much, I was first drawn by the colours they seem to work very well together, and the composition of the scene is spot on, and of course the cow in the shop window is great, and makes a nice story line for this picture. Nice one.
best wishes
KEN.

the red almost overpowers this, but think the benches make for a good contrast, does look interesting to look at,and wonder what the ice cream tastes like, shop fronts can make for interesting photos...brain

Mary, I like this picture because there is so much to see. We can't help but get caught up in the photographic information available.

You have those benches there that add a delightful contrast of yellow against red and the patterns we enjoy.

The cow in the window is humour. You have composed it with balance and the photomatix is well handled , although a bit less black might have helped...use your gamma lever to bring out some more detail in the shadow...actually the amount of detail you have already there is appropriate for the details do draw us inward.

A unique eye you have to see the beauty of this store, to capture it, to work it in post processing and to captivate us with it.

T Hank you Olga. This an exterior shot of the cow I posted last year. I still like the first one best but I tried to see what I might be able to do with this as I was reviewing old files

Great eye to discover such a combination, very unusual - I found a cow on a balcony - this is equal funny

excellent composition - I think you managed it well to bring calm into the busy inside decoration - nice angle - perfect distance and framing - I think we can perfectly imagine to stand there too
great focus contrast and lighting, a picture creating a smile immediately, thanks for sharing

First glance it looks like a reflection in the window very unusual display but reminder that milk/ice cream comes from cows. Nicely composed with good color and focus. :) Mary
