This is just stunning photography. This would make a beautiful oil on canvas and would love your permission to paint this on a canvas with reference to your photography of course ? I love the plumage and the chiaroscuro technique that is evident throughout and the green eye is just awesome and contrast beautifully with the composition..applaud applaud..sorry i don't have a six otherwise it would be yours

Cormorants are fascinating aquatic birds ( reminding me of their distant ancestor the giant toothed & flightless prehistoric swimming bird Hesperornis! ) and your photo of this blue eyed specimen scratching at the Duck Lice that are plaguing him is striking!

Look at that eye Eileen. WOW. Is that it's real color?? It is beautiful in the black head.

I love the tight framing here...your focus is spot on crisp....and exposure is perfect. How well he shows even in the very dark background.

This is a beautiful portrait of this bird, here people blame them for killing all the fish in our lakes,,but I find them beautiful in their own way,,love the blue eye, the yellow beak, and yes the really shiny feathers, the lighting is great and your background really makes us look at the bird only
