A beautiful picture of the Ruby Throat Humming Bird it's beak deep in a flower as it sucks up nectar on the wing the movement of it's wings a blur showing us how fast they must move to keep suspended by the flowers. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Definitely is an interesting action shot presented here! Like your composition and love the blur of the moving wings. I just wonder if there is not just a little bit too much background noise? Otherwise, good luck in your competition!

......and the winner is!

This is such an endearing photograph and the pose is captivating because he is really extracting nectar completely engrossed in the process.

The compostion following Fibonnaci's rule is what makes this a winner. A diagonal exciting slant of blooms, the hummer situated in that all important grid line, it couldn't be any more perfect.

The colour palette of soft pinks to purple is rich, feminine, soft, all encompassing so much so that we are totally absorbed into his world.

a knock out.

Thank you for your very generous rating. I really appreciate it! I believe the flower is Mexican Sage.
