Great entry into the macro contest with sharp focus on the butterfly. Love the color and lighting and you have handled exposure well. The button flower adds to impact.

I think it would be difficult to get very much closer than this to a butterfly, and I think the button bush flower is very pretty as well. I especially like how lovely the light is falling in the flower and the butterfly and also the blue hues of the background. Both the flower and the butterfly are standing out from it in an excellent way.
Your focus on the butterfly is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of it. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
The format you have cropped the photo into works really well and I like the way you have placed the butterfly in the bottom right corner. It is a truly lovely and well taken macro shot Willie, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a real beauty with great clarity and sharpness,,,color is great and the composition. I really can't find a single thing wrong with it...awesome job and deserving of a 6!!

interesting flower,,must be softer than it looks as this butterfly does not seem to care about the points,,nice close of of the tongue of this creature,,like that you focused on the head and flower than the whole butterfly,,great light and colours, nice blue sky
