colorful capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the sun is great. the image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

I like the colors a lot though i might have taken the brighter orange further down in frame, it'd so gorgeous i want to see more. The sun behind the striated cloud is a nice idea and it's in a nice position within the frame. I am thrown a bit by the narrower version of the cloud bands across the sun than they are in the clear. Some perspective glitch in my head i think. Anyway! Good luck in the contest!

hi Paul,
glad you like it as the clouds where taking most of the horizon as it took 15 min. more for it to rise.
I think those bands are neat giving it a planet effect with 10 shades of the sun.

A very nice shot. There must have been a lot of mist in the air to get such a fine disc of the sun. The colors are great and the composition is attractive. Best of luck in the contest.

thank you, there was a lower cloud bank so had to wait as you see leftover but added to the sun's color.

It is so difficult to catch a photo of the sun or moon that looks so good. You have done it to perfection. I love the clouds that add such mystery over the horizon. The color range from dark to light is crazy and the echo of those some colors on top of the sun is like a tiny little mirror image of the larger whole image. Crazy good. Well done.
