Quite an interesting and enjoyable nature shot presented here. It has good composition, enjoyable action and its exposure is good. I do feel though that it is not sharp enough. Perhaps this could be improved in software? Otherwise, nice effort!

There is not much to be said about near perfection. The colors are beautiful. How nice of the butterfly to choose a matching hue. The subject is sharp and we see the whole creature. My only criticism, and it is minor, I wish the background was just a tad softer. As I said, minor. Really, really good job.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments, your generous rating and your input. You are not the only one suggesting a softer background. I admit that the background was left sharp because I wanted to emphasize that this is an outdoor location. I cannot change this post since it is a contest entry, but I will post some different captures of the same butterfly with a shallower DOF in time

The image is wonderfully framed and the sharpness is spectacular. Great control of the Depth of Field and the green background really supports the colors in the flower and butterfly.
