Nope. You live in the snow belt. You have to tolerate it. But, I LOVE the title of your image. You made me laugh. I needed it at the end of this day. Thank you.

I love the image. The snow looks so peaceful. I like winter, as long as I can leave it in the mountains and come home. Hey. Thank you. I so appreciate this image.

Just love your reviews Paul. Boy, you musta caught this one just before it expired so thank you for that!! I actually don't mind winter...just NOT in October. Winter's long enough here w/o adding an extra month. GOOD GRIEF!! Been looking for a piece from you....haven't seen one lately....still have some sixes so make it a good one....lol....Seriously though, thank you Paul for checking out my post. You're a dear!!

As much as I agree with winter arriving at your magical Forest is too early, it for me means Spring has Sprung. The weather here is fabulous and my time of hibernation is now over!
I do love the beauty of the first snowfall.
Your POV is superb here Doc showing the snow Kissed ground and trees. I especially like the one proving it is strong enough to bend but not fall.
Reminds me of your Tree like strength.
You have fine focus, controlled white balance and beautiful details. It's a fine capture Doc!

I realize there's something incredibly honest about trees in winter, how they're experts at letting things go. ~Jefferey McDaniel

Fortunately, I don't have to hibernate....don't mind being out during the winter a bit....just not quite ready for it so early! Have never been compared to a big, ole Apple Tree before Sange....lol....thanks so much...I think... Teasing...I know what you meant. Thanks so much for the wonderful review...and the quote. I like it.

Interesting shot. I like the way it has that cold feel to it. Great lines with the trees. We got snow in the mountains here in N Cal last week. Thanks for sharing.

LOL - I know what you mean, because you are describing exactly how the winter is here in Norway as well. Still 23rd of October is pretty early. Still you have to admit that a landscape looks lovely with snow, which this photo is showing so well.

It is a really sharp photo, and the big tree on the left is standing out really well defined and with fine details. I also think the exposure is perfect.

It is nice how the tree is framing the photo in such a natural and lovely way, and I think it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Deborah, and with a good DOF.

ALWAYS appreciate seeing your name at the bottom of a review av. Thanks so very much for checking out my post.

Your on-coming winter is clearly much more advanced than our casual on-coming of autumn here in England! Like your leaning trees in your slightly harsh looking scene. The image is well exposed and sharp. Fine shot!

Oh...My...Goodness!! I wondered if you would get that snow I heart about up in the northeast....I should have figured 'yes'...Deb will get it! This is really a great photo of the beautiful scene. Your light and shadows have done a nice job playing together in the snow and keeping the white balance in check. Great detail and a nice job framing the curved branch above the curved bank of snow. Nicely accomplished...not only with you camera...but going outside too! I imagine you have gotten into your wood pile a few times by now...? Thanks for sharing.

I really liked the reddish-brown grasses poking up through the snow Becky...and the apple tree branches that were the same color too. Yup...wood stove in full swing winter mode....lol...NOTHING gradual about the seasons changing this year it seems. Still hoping (probably foolishly) for Indian Summer. Wood shed is full and everything's stacked so I'm good to go even if I'm not thrilled w/ such an early snow. You know I always appreciate you checking out my posts. Thanks so much Becky.

This photo made me so happy that I live in Florida. I just cannot remember what it was like to feel so cold in winter and freeze my booty off. Not that I miss it, but this shot brought back lots of memories of being up North. Beautiful work.
