A fantastic portrait of the Giraffe posing beautifully for you with those eyelashes some women might think about killing to possess. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Not convinced that your subject is smiling, but it's a nice portrait! Your close-up composition works very well here . Exposure and sharpness are both good. Well done and good luck!

lol...another fine shot from your day playing hooky at the zoo!
Love how you fill the frame w/ your subject!! ...and caught her at just the right moment so it appears she is smiling at you. Also really like the eye contact and the bit of sparkle you've caught there. Good focus....exposure and crop.
She's delightful! Best of luck w/ this one in the contest.

I just watched a special on giraffes last night and would guess that this is a Rothchilds Giraffe. A nice perspective on him, especially for this contest. Great colors and nice details. Good luck in the voting.

Nice close up shot of this giraffe. He does look like he's smiling for the camera. I love the details and expression on his face. Nice eyelashes! I love how sharp and in focus he is with the background blurred. Best wishes in the contest! :)

I like how the background is muted so you focus on the giraffe. The head tilt makes the photo interesting and you captured a good composition. I really like how much detail is in the giraffe's face.

Really nice interaction shot. the giraffe's eye contact can almost give one chills, always does for me. Your framing is really nice, with his nearly-smiling lips in that third. Shadows on his forehead and cheeks give nice dimension. Good luck in the contest!
