looks indeed like being on the prowl, but difficult to imagine that he could find a prey;lol;
a very good capture as I like, not smiking at the camera;

Thanks again Fred, he was just on his way to get the food his keeper had hidden near the rocks. :)

Eyes are mch clearer & facial details sharper now in the thumbnail but still diffused in the large scale!
But I won't mark you down on that! I'm a 5 rater if I want to!
Thanks for sharing...

Thanks Dick, I don't actually worry about the number of stars although it was nice to get so many 6's for my Otter photo. Just good to hear people's opinion of my work especially when you have spent a lot of time trying to get the right settings and not just relying on editing tools after the event. :)

That's right!

There is something about the eyes of the Sumatran tigers that sets them apart from other species. A fine shot with very good colors. I would look at a square presentation that is cropped tight against the face.

Mary,
A beautiful picture of this Sumartran Tiger walking past you it's eyes fixed on something on your left every muscle tensed & ready to leap should it need to! Beautiful composition, framing & soft dappled light & shade illuminating the image. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

What an absolutely gorgeous picture of this tiger! He looks determined and you can feel the power in his eyes. I would not want to be his prey. I like the composition (great balance) and you wonder what he is looking at in the distance. The only improvement I can think of is perhaps the shadowing at the top of the picture. But then again, it is somewhat endearing. Thank you for sharing!

excellent framing, great angle and close up, clear and sharp with perfect contrast and lighting
a harmonious picture perfectly balanced between tiger and environment - great expressive wild life shot, thanks for sharing
