This is a suburb contest entry and photograph! You've captured every tiny detail of this insect and the incredible texture of the flower. I like how the center shadow of the flower looks a little like a butterfly or some other insect too!

Nice fly, almost as good as mine but your background has more interesting detail. Nice sharp fine detail and good capture of those metallic color shades. Would have cloned the white fuzzy spots.

An excellent macro shot presented here. Your very careful composition works very well with the insect hardly shielding the dark centre of the flower. Exposure and sharpness are very good. A very impressive photo, good luck in your competition!
