Now, isn't this a curious coincidence. I was thinking of posting a contest titled, "Dead of Dying Flowers"....hmmmm.

YOu have captured the beauty of the flower that once was...even when they are brown and dry there is beauty in patterns, contrasts, and we can see this treatment here.

I do like that you kept the verdant leaves all around...as if they are still supporting this dying bloom.

Perfect in format but did you consider square perchance?

It is that time! I am seeing more and more of the "faded flowers".

You have captured that time perfectly. Still enough detail to let the viewer see "what I was"! LOL

Framing is awesome and the colors all play well together in this image!

You have a very different eye for photographic images... who knew death was so interesting! The clarity of this photo is spot on. The angle is excellent as well. Thanks for bringing to light a different type of beautiful!

I love strawberries as well as the strawberry plants, but this picture made me sad for it is at the end of the season. The picture shows the wilting leaves in a good light and the picture makes me want to plant some strawberries next year.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Crisp focus and good lighting bring out the details of this flower even if some of it is ugly. The tight crop brings into focus the heart of the matter of beautiful blooms coming to it's end.

Yes, their is much truth in the philosophy that you express in your notes! Your shot is well composed and gives us a good look at the results of the sad end of the season. The image is well exposed and sharp. Nice work!

nice angle of shot and filling of the frame, but the middle part is too bright and distracting

also, in the bright part details are lost

thanks for sharing

You did a great job of capturing the reason for taking the photo. Show a lingering life becoming decay. Colors, sharpness, balance, lighting are all good. Exceptional job.

Isn't that sad, we do the same thing with people. Superficial beauty is impactful, but its the beauty that goes deeper than first sight that moves me most. Nice capture. I love that you have brought this plant forward because even in its dying state, it still has character. Great clarity, focus, and composition. Nice framing. Thank you so much for sharing.
