You caught the trick. Don't get the sun directly in your image. It is behind the clouds so there is no blowout. Well done, Ron. I love the colors. The whisks in the clouds. Well done. Deserving of the honors given.

    Hi Paul,
I know that know but back then I was not thinking of these things as I just started and would not think I would be posting on a photo web site. :-)
glad you enjoy viewing it as it was a nice night off to catch it. :-)
thank you for your kind words and nice review. :-)

As a weatherman I enjoy pictures of clouds, especially when they are well done as this one is. Like the mixture of light and the focus is good. Well framed as you go from light to dark from both left to right and top left to bottom center. Thanks for sharing and HAGD.

Wow, Beautiful lit up sky. The colors are amazing and reminds me of cotton candy. Sunsets are so beautiful any where you take them, I would not change anything in this photo, cheers

    hi Traceylynn,
glad you enjoy the sunset with it's color as I had my canon for this one.
it is tough for me to get unless I travel as this is about 20 miles from my house.
thank you for the kind review.

WOw what a color combination and movements in the sky - you framed it well creating a kind of "living sky" with the cloud formation
genuine color saturation - soft contrast and natural lighting - the reflection in the waters must have been splendid too - thanks for sharing

Very nice first impression of this beautiful, colorful night sky. I love the swirling clouds and the touch of light coming through on the lower left side of the photo. Nice colors and clarity. Well done :)

A beautiful presentation of " burning sky". Orange color pleases eye. Cloud formation builds element of beauty through which contrast of bright and dark is presented. I like its cleanness. Delicate.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

    hi Joel,
glad you enjoy the clouds of the setting sun with so much color.
glad you take that away from it as the roof had me limited but would have been nice to walk to the bay.
thank you for your kind review.

Very nice sunset. The thing about these pastel multi-color shots is that they need a bit of added interest to distinguish them from others of the same category. There is a dark, flat shaped cloud in the lower right hand corner to the center. This could be your point of difference. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi paulaH,
    glad you enjoy viewing it.
thank you for that insight as I was limited on the top of the roof with a lot of stuff for a lower shot.
if I had walked 1/2 mile I could have had another scene but where there to relax.
thank you for you kind review.

nice capture of the colors and tones, but this is a very simple and not very interesting shot since there is no center of interest, neither a story telling here

thanks for sharing

    Hi GaliaG,
glad you enjoy the color as I had a night away from caregiving.
sorry you do not enjoy the shot story as it was tough getting the shot on the roof.

First thing I thought about when I opened the thumbnail was this photo would make fabulous place mats for the dining table. Make a good talking point also.Lots of formations in clouds with colours orange to rust.Nice one .
