One of the many N.P. that are on my list. The POV is interesting. The lighting appears to be affected by the shadows but the detail is still visible. The muted background gives contrast to the scene.

Love the soft colors in this photograph. And they make me want to visit this place. I'd explore and enjoy all the various colors of the ridge and it surroundings. Thanks for sharing.

It is the point of view of this photograph , the grandeur of it that makes us sit up in our reviewer chairs and study it closer.

Nikman the clarity on this could be punched up a bit more as it borders on a washed out look.

Let me explain:

The difference between sharpness and clarity, is basically that clarity is a sharpness applied with a very large radius, a relatively low amount, and mostly to the midtones, this is what is needed here to punch out the pink canyon and certainly those trees in the upper segment. You get a sharpening effect if you increase clarity. By increasing clarity you add sharpness to the mid tones. This would pop out the background strip of unfocused trees in distance.

You do not put up your camera specs, if you did serious reviewers would help you along in improving in your craft.

I did a workshop last year and learned that f13 is best for landscape because it does not render peripheral distortion.

I like your shot, it is breezy and all encompassing overall.

It's a true beauty. I like the clarity and focused well from a decent distance. You have chosen a perfect time to take this snap. As I think the light and contrast are well balanced. Nice work. Thanks

Rock formations are marvelous. And your viewpoint was exceptional. Two layers of greenery in the background make the red rock even more striking. Unfortunately on my screen, at least, the entire photo looks washed out. Please be sure to check it out!

i also like angles of the hills, against the more squared off redrock.

Yes, this is a stunning capture! Congratulations no only on your perspective, but on your successful us of light and shadows, DOF and white balance. There are 3 different color schemes and textures in this overall scene...almost like the layers that are visible with cutting into the earth. But this magnificent photo is on the surface. Your treatment of each of those 'layers' has given this composition a scientific and beautiful effect for your viewer. Clarity and detail are a success I believe due to your control of your saturation of your most vivid orange colors. Nice work here! You have given your viewers quite a chance to imagine standing in your footsteps and viewing the beauty and majesty of the Earth. Thank you!
