This is super cute!! What a great scene set up by the photographer! And yes you are right about how the ight captured the colors of the rafts. I am impressed with how you still captured the detail of their faces and their fun expressions even though they were hidden under the raft. I also like the way the shadow of the rafts formed that 'smile' on the beach. The greenery and further scenery behind will be just enough to help these young people tell the story of where they were and what they were doing to their children...as you say. :D Love it!

Nature, thank you so very much for your kind and detailed review. You have no idea how the complained and just wanted to GO! You have a very critical eye. Iyou pointed out details I never would of seen. So for this I Thank You. I especially like the smile from the raft shadow. Never quite looked at it from that view. I hit and miss with my iPhone and seasoned photographers like you teach and enable me to become better. Blessings and Thank You so very much~

Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Harmonious colors.
Verdant backdrop.
They could have moved to tue greener lawn to get rid of that overblown pathway.
It could have lend some bounced reflections on their faces, too!
Great story telling factor.
Are these inflatable heavy to jump with?!? Forgive my English--I'm a Filipino! LoL!
Please clone out the distracting foreground shadows & eye sores.
Best of luck in the contest!
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

Dick, thank you so very much for your detailed review. All of your points are well taken. I was lucky to get them to pose. I think the sandy dirt absorbed light rather than bounce. Yosemite is a unique place. Hugh trees, rocks to climb and meadows. One must make reservations 6 mo to 1 year in advance just to camp. Dry camp means no electricity, no water. One must put food in metal bear proof boxes. Lots of bears, deer, chipmunks and squirrels. We made many memories on this trip. The rafts are very light, but sturdy enough if you hit a log or rock that it will not pop.

Judging from your notes I would say that you were very patient and accommodating! Its a nicely composed shot with good exposure and sharpness. Looks like they anticipate having lots of fun on their last trip. Well done and good luck!

Thank you for your kind review. I think the were patient. They moaned and groaned while I took the photo. It was only by luck that this turned out. Yes, many great memories made this trip.

Summer photos like this one are priceless. These kids will cherish the photo.
The photo is more about the memories and experiences rather than whether it is well lit or focused well. Great shot and supr memories.

Thank you FBI, you have no idea how much complaining teens can do. They said for me to follow them and take it in the river. I said I don't think so. You are so very right about cherished memories! Blessings my friend. ~

Yep - this shouts Summer! Very nice color and I like how each of their shadows line up with no gaps and make one long curved shadow across the sand, adding some extra shape in to the scene.

Thank you for your kind review. The line up with no gaps was by pure luck. They were complaining for they wanted River time over photo time. We were here 1 week and made many memories to cherish.
