The shot is technically very good. You positioned yourself to where the angles are maximized and produce incredible depth. The lighting is good. I like the effect given by the color on the boat covers.

This is a perfect shot and perfect for the contest. Yes I love how the poles are leading the eyes to the background. Your image so sharp and clear with a good DOF. Your colors, details, and composition are excellent. Good luck in the contest. A pleasure to view! Thanks for sharing this most beautiful scene.

Need no name here :)
Lead away!
I do love the blue covers on the gondolas leading us in and straight down to the leading lines of poles to the colorful buildings in the background.
Fine focus, low angle, exposure and great colors and details.
Nice work!! ;)

An excellent example of leading the eye. Very nice YOU...lol...it's something I rarely take into consideration w/ my photos.

Focus is excellent...not only on gondolas and poles but also the buildings in the background are very nicely detailed. The light is good. I particularly like the bits of shadow on the gondolas from the poles. Looks like it was very bright out as the far buildings are lighter in the sun....the middle one anyway.

Colors are good...and natural...nothing over-done. Good use of wide framing....obviously needed for the long gondolas. Nice photo....another thing I have never had the pleasure of doing so interesting to see it in your photo and I wish you the best w/ it in the contest. I've seen a couple of photos entered in this contest that haven't even stated what rule they are applying so well done here!

And it makes for an interesting and enjoyable picture all around! : )
The bright blue coverings on several of the Gondolas add an attractive counterpoint to the generally 'subdued' coloration of the scene!
'Good Show',my friend!

Your shot certainly amply demonstrates the "leading the eye" concept! Its well composed and sharp. I do feel the exposure is in need of some help. In my view the foreground is too dark. Otherwise a good shot!

Leading lines are one of the cardinal rules of photography. The dappled light and the background well lit building give the shot a real cool DOF. The leading lines of the poles bring us into the shot and all the details of the scene. Would love to have seen this harbor.

Excellent example of leading lines. This image does exactly that, directly to the background. The buildings and shapes are interesting.
