This is a really great scene and a perfect example of how to set the scene to lead the eye to the natural ending background. This one should do very well in the contest ~ Steve

yep it does draw the viewers eye down the row of boats. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the blue boats, post, and buildings in background is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

This is a very good, clear, focused, colorful photo. What a unique point of view, also! I like the buildings in the background, which add more depth to the scene and color contrast from the gondola covers. Cool shot!

The background is to large for the poles to lead to anything. The gondolas are way to dark. I think the bright buildings and sky fooled your camera's light meter. Sorry didn't do it for me.

I think this is a great shot of the buildings. Even though they gondolas occupy the majority of the frame they are quite dark and serve primarily to set the scene and lead they (along with the poles) to the real subject. Best of luck in the contest.

as I like the DOF seeing the older buildings of the city.

as I see a lot of shrink wrap here as the winter starts. thank you for sharing .

Exposure in this one is creative and wonderfully interesting. Like we would see in early morning or early evening - nice shading around the boat dock!!! The background is wonderfully full of light which makes me wonder just what time of day. I started looking for roofing above the boats... none there! I find the lighting very interesting! Great natural color and the focus is fantastic. Thanks for sharing and good luck!
