My flowers give me endless joy Mary Lynn. All these great colors. I plant like an artist w/ a paint brush trying to decide which color to put where....then winter descends and the only place I can see my flowers is as they scroll by on my screen saver. Oh well...lol....That's a wonderful review you gave my "Mango Tango' and I do appreciate it. Thanks so very much.

Awesome shot. My favorite part is the sharpness of the photo, and how it shows the details of such a small and innocuous plant. Definitely makes me appreciate nature more. The contrast has its place, with the slightly darkened background to push out the flower even more forward. This helps a lot especially for this photo because it look like it was taken when the sky was overcast.

I am into very little maintenance. Lovely colors and pretty configuration of the blooms. Your tight crop of the three blooms show off the variegated colors. The framing by the rich green foliage is very pretty.

Then POTENTILLA would be a shrub you'd adore Gary. You simply plant then enjoy....lol....what could be better than that!! I do appreciate you checking out another of my posts. Thank you so very much.

This reminds me of my child hood, and was probably the first unusual flower name I learned. The reason is that my grandmother had a big area in the garden filled with these bushes. The ones you have
photographed are slightly richer in color, and truly pretty. You have indeed pictured them well, and they are standing out from the green foliage in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in every part of the flower at the front, and the exposure is perfect. I also appreciate the crisp and clear colors.

The tight cropping is perfect and the trio of flowers have got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a beautiful and well taken flower photo Deborah, and with an excellent DOF.

LOL...Oh av...that is EXACTLY why I was never interested in 'shrubs' I thought of them as 'old people's plants' Isn't that awful!! But the name of this POTENTILLA- 'Mango Tango'...well, I would have purchased it no matter what the color I so adored the name. Lucky me the flowers turned out to be as spectacular as the name. I always appreciate your detailed and oh so well written reviews av. Thank you for that as well as for the wonderful comments re: my photo.

The Potentilla bushes my grandmother had was called Potentilla Moonlight. Quite a poetic name as well. And it was light yellow. You are of course more than welcome for the review.

'Moonlight' yes av...lol.....I would also be tempted to purchase one called that!!

The colors are beautiful and the name just rolls of the tongue in a fun way. Mango Tango!
You have sharpness in the centers and I am Diggin' the 3D like look surrounded by the lush greens.
Not sure why the softness in focus on the petals but still find this to be visually appealing.
Nice work Doc ;)

I would have purchased this one Sange no matter what the color just b/c I loved the name so much....lol....how lucky for me that I adore the colors just as much as tthe name. I KNOW I have better photos of it but after the marathon posting (it was for me anyway) I just wanted to be done and decided this was the one to post. Will post a sharper one in the future. I really do appreciate you checking it out. Thanks so very much.

Absolutely love the texture of the flowers which shows up perfectly with the sharp focus. The color is like a sunset with the yellow and orange glows. Nicely contrasted against the green foliage. Like the composition showing the flower very favorably. :) Mary
