This is a cool photo, because it's combined with some editing. I'm no expert by any means of photography because I'm just a painter, and so this makes me appreciate things like these even more because I think the process of editing them is cool. I like how you made this guy have a glow, and he has a very metallic glow, even though he was originally painted in silver. The sunglasses and his expression on his face have so much ambiguity that I think the viewer would want to spend time reviewing what's going on here.

a very nice entry for the low key lighting as the silver man has a great look as you took his picture. as they try not to be caught moving the pose and lighting is great a pleasure to view. thank you for sharing. good luck.

I can consider this a chiaroscuro lighting effect.
Subtle illumination but with Fine features & textures.
Pin sharp focusing. An interesting initial impact.
Nice interplay of lights and shadows.
Excellent choice of subject.
Best of luck in the contest!

OK, the only silver dude I want to run into in the dark is the Tinman from The Wizard of Oz.
This guy would make me jump! ;)
Your timing was indeed perfect for the dark background as well as his turning towards your lens.
Great low key capture perfect for this contest.
Fine focus and use of filters.
Good Luck ;)

a great entry to the low key contest: of course, as you indicate, the pose is outstanding;
I like the variation of light intensity on his cloths from very bright to dark ;

This is as good a pose as you can get. The use of light to light up the silver outfit and tiny backlight gives a great detailed look at this performer. The balance of the background being black gives the figure get DOF.

Well this is certainly a unique photo. Any reason why he was painted silver like this? Your focus and lighting are excellent, but I love the framing the most. The dark and dramatic background makes this photo stand out even more. You were very creative :) Well done and thanks for sharing :)

This is interesting and I could see it being in a magazine. The light and dark are just right, especially with the silver costume. Subject matter mysterious.
